You can filter the maps by maximum player count using the second drop-down box. The number in brackets next to each map name indicates the maximum player count for that map. For more information on starting locations, see Starting Location below. The panel below this menu shows the selected map’s size and maximum player count, alongside a preview of the map, with white dots indicating the starting locations of each player. In the top-right corner of the Skirmish menu, use the drop-down menu to select a map. What people remain that can work on HotS split their time between several maintenance mode’ games, so all the magical information on dealing with bugs, game balance, and trying to make new heroes all have to be juggled with too much stuff for too few people to do so that stuff like Diablo Immortal and Diablo 4 aren’t pushed back for another couple of years. To set up a Skirmish Battle, select New Game → Skirmish from the Main Menu. So until the lawsuits are resolved, the diablo projects are released, and maybe overwatch 2 does whatever it has going on, things are going to be slow at Hots – not because staff ‘don’t care’ – but because the people that have the say on where money goes, have declared the battle plan for the next two years or so. However, since so many unfortunate things keep getting piled on from the years of investor-over-customer leadership that tops the company (ie, not devs) that you probably don’t even know ‘exist’, the major resources of blizz are being put toward trying to put out something ‘new’ for the first time in years. So there’s this magically catch 22 of needing money to put into the game to have money to spend developing stuff for people to buy. That’s something I’d surmise you have an aversion to doing cuz here you are, some faceless alt account that wants to ramble on about how people ‘dont care’ when you clearly aren’t informed enough to demonstrate that you care to notice what is going on.įormer employee interviews have pointed out how long it takes to make Hots heroes/skins/etc, (you probably aren’t aware)-any a-topic here seem to convey that they spend less on HotS 2.0 than they did prior due to the availability of shards, lootboxes, and dearth of stuff they want to spend things on. So all blizzard IPs are suffering right now, and it takes magical ‘work’ to try to fix all that stuff. drops, which either means they’re ‘better’ monetizing stuff, or they haven’t yet chased off the ‘core’ whales that are actually putting money into these games. In investor reports (that the public can read, cuz publicly traded) some of the money actually put into blizz games isn’t decreases to match the m.a.u. It’s been over 5 years since blizzard last release a new game, and in the absence of games to release, interest in their games (monthy active users) are going down. Some like to rant this is going to ‘kill’ the company, but it’ll at least delay things has people try to figure out how to wring the most out of their stock options. Stock prices are going down, some blizz staff have been let go, and sponsors (for e-sports stuff) are dropping off. If you haven’t had your head buried under the sand for the last few weeks, then you might have caught wind that Actblizz is under duress for some lawsuits and plummeting reputation. So here’s part of the magic fancy: Activision/Blizzard is a publicly traded company that means that the headhonchos are more interested in ‘investors’ than they are customers for manipulating the appearance of the company. So obviously ‘issue’ is that ‘others don’t care’, because you don’t care enough to not repeat the same banal garbage you saw someone else wrote. You refuse to want to know more, and so long as you have something to blame, you obviously aren’t going to learn to do better. Considering how much you should already know the answer to this question, it smells like you’re just projecting your own laziness and apathy at a convenient ‘other’.
