You’re basically listening to a group of people sounding annoying as possible while spouting lyrics that are too difficult to understand due to these guys. What’s worse than one bad singer? A whole group of bad singers. But I can say this, the theme does a good job in portraying the actual show – it has two jerkass characters trying to out jerkass each other. In fact, she’s so bad that it’s actually tough to understand what she’s saying at the end. So of coarse having her sing can’t be good. Let’s start with the first problem, Angela has one of the most annoying voices around. And the lyrics are just as dull as the actual music. Even though it’s like a minute and twenty seconds it feels like an eternity. In the end, you should leave the parodies to Weird Al or someone who’s actually good at making them.įrom Mondo World, creators of some of the worst animated series and movies of all time comes this dull and uninspired drivel. Well, the theme and the show didn’t seem to impress anybody as it never got picked up. Seriously, you basically parody a love song and try to make it about an action hero. Who in their right mind heard the song Wild Thing and thought “hey this would be perfect for our cartoon about a mutated monster hero. Seriously, who looks at Battletoads and says “oh yeah, Beach Boys?” But the intro was a good representation of the pilot episode, both were awful. Sadly, the cartoon used none of it and instead gave us this poor-man’s Beach Boys song that lacked the attitude the games had. You could even pause the game and get a great hit. The Battletoads games were known for having great music. Overall, this and other factors really showed that Garfield and Friends was on its last leg. And it is so bad that it hasn’t been aired since the original Saturday morning run as all syndication and DVD releases would air the season 6 intro instead. But all we got was their weird jazz-rap hybrid that just screams worst of the 90’s. This followed the trend of CBS trying to make their Saturday morning lineup edgier. Intro themes are supposed to get the viewers attention and make them anxious for the show, but basing it off a lie is not the way to do it.Īn intro so bad that not even the show wants to acknowledge it – but I’m getting ahead of myself. Humans never appeared nor was there any mention of them trying to find the Snorks. In fact, Snorks was a slice of life show that only focused on said Snork characters. As far as I know, the character the entire intro focuses on never appears in the show. So why is it on the list – it has nothing to do with the entire show. It does a good job describing the setting and creating a story. You might be wondering what’s so bad about this theme. Overall, this helps show how poor dubbing can hurt good works of art. Fortunately, Rai improved in the second season and gave this song a proper translation with a singer who is more skilled at performing in English. And what makes it worse is the singer’s thick accent makes some of the lyrics tough to understand. While the music is great, the lyrics are directly translated from the original Italian which leads to a lot of clumsy and poor wording. Sadly, that is also the intro’s greatest weakness. Rai’s versions are based off of the Italian and this one manages to follow the music and lyrics perfectly. The Winx Club has had many English dubs over the years – each one of them with their own theme song. Now for the Rules:Ģ) The song does not affect my personal opinions on the show.ģ) If you don’t see a certain song on the list – it means I probably haven’t heard it. And just because music is easier to understand when you listen to it, I will include links to the actual song. I have searched Youtube to find the worst intro music and songs to any cartoon imaginable. Sometimes we need to understand the bad before we focus on the good.
